Business Terms


Payment policy

  • A non-refundable deposit of half the total charges must be made at the time of reservation.

  • The remaining payment is due in full 30 days prior to the event, either by cash or check. Alternatively, the client(s) may pay the entire fee at the time of reservation.


  • Late fees will be incurred if payment is not received within 7 business days after the event.


 

Travel time

  • Round trip travel time will be incurred at a set hourly rate.



Performance Location

  • Pedal Harp (large harp): The performance location MUST be handicapped accessible, due to the size and nature of the harp. If it is not, the client is responsible for arranging the manual assistance necessary to transport the instrument (undamaged) to the desired performance location. 
  • Lever Harp (small harp): The performance location does not need to be handicapped accessible, additional manual assistance is not required.  



Changes to Program

  • For all events excluding weddings, all musical selections and their order in the program must be finalized minimum 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the event. Wedding musical selections must be finalized 1 month (30 days) prior to the event. The only acceptable change following these dates will be to remove a musical selection from the program. 



Inclement Weather

  • If the event is outdoors, and inclement weather conditions arise or are pre-existing to the event, the client(s) must arrange for either weatherproof protection (such as a tent) or an alternate performance site where the harp and all equipment will remain undamaged.  If inclement weather conditions make it impossible to complete the performance, the harpist shall nevertheless be paid the full contract price.



Cancellation policy

  • If the client(s) cancel any time up to 31 days prior to the event, the non-refundable deposit will be retained, while the remaining 50% fee will not be incurred, or will be returned if payment was made in full.

  • If the client(s) cancel any time within 30 days prior to the event, full charges will be incurred.


  • If the client(s) do not attend events, full charges will still be incurred. 


  • If I (Grace) am unable to fulfill my obligation for any reason, no charges will be incurred. The deposit fee will be returned to the client(s) within 7 business days of the scheduled event. 



Signed Contract

  • The client(s) and harpist will be required to agree upon and sign a legal contract outlining the pieces to be performed, all contact information, fees, and the above non-negotiable business terms. The contract is subject to change and additional charges may be incurred if the clients request additional services, change the services prior to the above deadlines, increase travel time, or if unusual circumstances arise not provided for in this contract. This can be completed electronically or by mail.
